On Thursday we did an "experiment" to learn about shadows! We went outside in the morning and students traced the place of their partner's shadow using sidewalk chalk!

Author Debra Frasier Visits Long!
Yesterday we got to meet author Debra Frasier! We had anticipated her coming to our school all week! We read some of her stories like On the Day You Were Born, A Birthday Cake is No Ordinary Cake, and Spike: Ugliest Dog in the Universe.

Suitcase Projects
Students packed a "suitcase" for social studies and acted as a settler moving west! Prior, they discussed their ancestry and heirlooms or special items that belong to members of their family with loved ones! Thanks for your help! The information helped them "pack!" Here's a few of our suitcases!
