The Week Blog #4

Yesterday, we did a nice little experiment with the sun. We had fun tracing our shadows with sidewalk chalk in the morning, and coming back to them in the afternoon. Our shadows changed completely!!! Was it the sun? Nope. It was us. The earth turned so the sun was farther west.

Also, if you're interested in astronomy, which is our science unit, there's a solar eclipse in August.

Last week we had fun with graphs. I 'mustache' you a question, Do you like this blog? ( He He ) We had fun asking each other questions and putting the tally's into graphs.

1. Extra recess

3. Paper airplane contest

4. Sidewalk chalk

5. Magic School Bus movie and lollipops

Geometry Hunt

Today we also headed outside for math! Students were on the hunt for many of the geometry terms we've been studying!

Fairy Tale STEM

Today we did another STEM activity that coordinates with our fairy tale writing unit! This time, students made rafts/boats to safely transport the Three Billy Goats across the river so they could avoid the bridge and the troll! Their designs did have to support the goats which each weighed several grams.

The Week Blog #3

Today we hope you've all had a FANTASTIC Mothers Day.

Last week we ended JA ( Juinior Achievement ) with wonderful Mrs. Hessler. Thank you, Mrs. Hessler!!!

Last week we had fun celebrating all of our moms. We wrote some poetry!

Today we discovered one of Mrs. Kuhl's gifts for the end of the year. Balloons! Every day we pop one and get a nice treat.

We also did a magical fairy tale STEM project. We all made little houses for little pigs. Fortunately, none of our houses were blown down by the big bad wolf.
